About
The Old Forge is a dog-friendly, deceptively spacious Grade II-listed cottage on the eastern border of the New Forest. It is in the picturesque village of Breamore, whose rich history dates back centuries. Surrounded by quaint cobb cottages, time-honoured homes, pretty woods and countryside, the Old Forge sleeps up to four guests in two double bedrooms, making it the perfect holiday home for friends, couples or a family. The cottage has been sympathetically restored and refurbished with vintage finds and luxe soft furnishings. From the lounge is a well-equipped kitchen with French Doors onto a fully enclosed south-west facing courtyard garden with dining furniture and a barbecue for long lazy lunches in the late afternoon sun.
There are two great eating pubs a short walk away, and independent shops, pubs, and restaurants can be found in the nearby town of Fordingbridge. Pack your walking boots for beautiful ambles and bike rides across heather plains and dappled woods. Days out include Salisbury and Stonehenge, Christchurch, the Dorset and Hampshire coastline, and all the New Forest Park attractions, including Lord Montagu’s Beaulieu National Motor Museum.
