It’s all about location when it comes to this beautiful little cottage in the New Forest. Sleeping six guests, it’s just the ticket for those looking for an escape to the country holiday with the convenience of a great gastro pub and village shop within an easy toddle of the front door.
Speedwell Cottage is filled with light and a sense of luxury throughout. Carefully chosen quality furnishings and super comfy beds are set in rooms decorated in a crisp and clean colour scheme of pale neutrals, warm wood and hues of blue.
The big dine-in kitchen has everything you’ll need to whip up a meal, and part of the room forms a snug with a plump sofa to sit and spy on the dozens of woodland birds who frequent the bird feeders. There’s a living room (complete with log burner) to curl up in by night, a downstairs cloakroom, and three classic cottage-styled bedrooms upstairs with views over the woods and heathlands where you can watch the forests free-roaming ponies and donkeys graze.
The pretty garden is lush and green, surrounded by large, lofty trees, high hedges, and flower-filled plants. Take your pick of benches and chairs in or out of the sun to sit and relax, and there’s a barbecue on hand to cook up a tasty spread.
