About
A wonderful dog-friendly and stylish holiday home for seven guests in the New Forest National Park wilder northern plains.
Set in the picture-perfect village of Nomansland, you're just a five-minute walk to the local gastropub and its neighbouring French Restaurant, which for those locals in the know, make a beeline for supper. The area is simply beautiful, and it's off the beaten track. You're more likely to bump into one of the village's free-roaming donkeys and ponies than you are another tourist.
The house is furnished with comfort in mind. Downstairs in the lounge, squishy leather sofas and designer chairs centre around a cosy log burner for those nippy nights. A large kitchen and utility room boasts lots of lux with a Rangemaster Range with gas hob and two full-size electric ovens, American style fridge/freezer with cold water, Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine and Bose iPod dock with Bluetooth adapter. The dining area is in the conservatory, which has French doors onto the garden, where you’ll find a raised pond and lawns with views onto fields frequented by ponies, deer and cattle grazing. Upstairs past the family bathroom are two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and master ensuite king.
Nomansland is surrounded by vast plains of pinky purple heather and woods for wonderful walks and cycle routes past ponds and streams with amazing forest views and abundant wildlife.
The village also has a traditional village green where locals play cricket in the summer months, looked on by donkeys and ponies who often gather near the pub. There's golf at Hamptworth or Wellow just up the road. Fishing at Woodington & Whinwhistle Fisheries and the National Trust property of Mottisfont is well worth the trip. If you have children in tow, make sure you take a day to visit Paultons Park – home of Peppa Pig World and lots of children's fantasy lands with age appropriate rides for youngsters.
