About
On Friday 25th June on the Orvis Kimbridge Beat in Hampshire, join David Profumo, Charles Rangeley-Wilson, Luke Jennings and Tom Fort for the first ever Fish in the Reads Literary Festival – a magical afternoon and evening on the riverbank, in support of The Wild Trout Trust, inspired by the recent virtual series of readings over lockdown.
Following on from the success of the Fish in the Reads virtual event series, which took place on Zoom early this year, Orvis UK is delighted to invite you to listen to the authors reading from and discussing their books in person in a beautiful setting on the iconic River Test to immerse in literature and nature.
Beginning at 3pm, expect live readings from the authors, casting demonstrations with the team at Orvis Stockbridge, a supper on the bank from Kimbridge Barn and artisan gin cocktails from Chilgrove Gin.
As well as reading from their published works, such as David's Profumo's brand new book 'The Lightning Thread: Fishological Moments and The Pursuit of Paradise', the authors will be engaging in discussion and Q&A.
With limited places available, tickets cost £30 and include one complimentary drink from Chilgrove Gin on arrival, including the flagship Fish in the Reads Cocktail, with a paid bar on the bank after.
Food and parking can be pre-booked when purchasing a ticket at a charge of £10 each. Each ticket comes with an optional donation to the work of The Wild Trout Trust, of which Charles Rangeley-Wilson is Vice-President. Ticket holders will receive an e-ticket from Eventbrite to show on arrival. More details for the event's schedule will be emailed ahead of the event date and we look forward to seeing you there!
