About
Nestled on the banks of our picturesque lakes a mile from The New Forest National Park, Headlands Farm boasts six Lakeside Lodges ideal for a retreat or as a relaxing secluded country break.
Headlands Farm is located alongside the New Forest National Park one of Europe’s most sensitive ecological areas, a wetland of international importance. Very close by we have the Blackwater wildlife corridor where we have kingfishers, otters, sparrow-hawks, six types of bats including the rare Barbastelle, hundreds of birds and a huge biodiversity of plants and insects.
We are surrounded by everything The New Forest has to offer including bike trails, forest walks, golf courses, National Trust properties as well as quick access to the south coast. Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park is also only 4 miles away.
Headlands Farm is family built and run, and incorportates a coarse fishery, coffee shop, exercise classes and Lakeside Lodges. Our Lodges have been handcrafted using recycled, re-used and repurposed products and timber. For example, we have re-used an old log cabin which was a former physio-centre for Pine Lodge and we have broken down over 100 timber pallets for internal cladding. We’ve built many items of oak furniture (beds, tables, seats) from a huge fallen Oak tree in the Farm.
If you are looking for a more mindful and relaxing break we offer bookable massages in the comfort of your own lodge and keen fishermen (and women) can fish off their own private swim whilst enjoying a BBQ on the veranda and fire at night. With Romsey only a stone's throw away, this area is also perfect for you to explore a host of history including Florence Nightingale's final resting place or the 10th Century Romsey Abbey.
Our accommodation is perfectly suited for young families, couples and business people. Each Lodge has its own kitchenette, private bathroom, fully dressed bedroom(s) and guests can enjoy fresh eggs from our free range chickens during their stay. We are open 52 weeks of the year and each season brings new and changing beauty to visits.
