Stay in Burley, one of the sweetest villages in the New Forest. The National Park’s famous donkeys and ponies who live in and around the village wander free - you’ll see them outside the cottage and mooching around the high street, shops and pubs on a regular basis.
Located a few lanes from the village centre, you’ll find Piglets Cottage. It is super cosy and dog-friendly, with a large open-log fire in the lounge plus underfloor heating in the kitchen, where you can gather around an old farmhouse table for dinner, drinks, and board games. Upstairs is a king and twin bedroom, sleeping up to four guests. Enjoy bike rides (hire them in the village) and walks from your doorstep through pretty woods and heather moors with lots of gastro pubs and cafes along the way. There are plenty of days out and attractions such as Beaulieu National Motor Museum, Palace and Abbey, Buckler's Hard, Salisbury and Portsmouth Historic Dock Yard, as well as the beaches of Highcliffe and Christchurch Harbour for a change scene.
