About
In August 2006, Anna and Will introduced the UK's first Feather Down farm. Located in the South Downs National Park, Manor Farm is a tranquil oasis and is just an hour from London. Many guests have returned again and again for their glamping farm holidays. Farming arable, cattle and sheep in a classic rolling landscape of copses and sunken lanes is even more of a pleasure now the Anna and Will get to share it with many other happy people. In April, it's lambing time and guests gets a chance to be close to the lambs.
Relax in one of the extra luxurious Frills tents: either under a twinkling starscape in your own hot tub, or in one of the tents which has its own en suite. The tents are located in the old farm orchard under trees or amongst hedgerows and are ideally spaced so each one has its own privacy. Tents are also well placed for groups.
Each tent has its own campfire for cooking hearty meals in the stew pot or toasting marshmallows. There are plenty of places for foraging wood and a barbecue under the stars is not to be missed. Meat is often provided by the farm and the marinated butterflied leg of lamb is a favourite amongst guests. Manor Farm has lots of corporate-team-building-event experience including food too.
Wandering off site you'll find great local pubs within walking distance and for those who love a dip, there’s wild swimming at Frensham Ponds that is only 20 minutes away or and West Wittering and Hayling Island on the coast can be reached within an hour.
Manor Farm offer adult bike hire and has a one mile route to the local pub The Three Horse Shoes (1 mile there and 1 mile back). A 5 mile ‘round’ trip route (2.5 miles there and 2.5 miles back) will take you to another good pub The Rose and Crown in Upper Farringdon and a 15 mile round trip to The Hawkley Inn which is another great pub.
