Visit Hurst Castle throughout the summer holidays and join in our family friendly activities, with a touch of history! Included with your castle admission we have these exciting events lined up:
Daily from Saturday 20th July – Saturday 1st September: 'We're going on a Royal Dog Hunt' trail will be up and running for the whole of the summer holidays - complete the trail and win a reward! There is plenty to keep the whole family entertained at the castle whilst also learning about some famous Royals and their dogs!
Plus:
• Every Tuesday throughout the summer holidays join us for TUDOR TUESDAYS 11am-4pm and enjoy our Tudor themed activities, learning about the Tudor period whilst in a Tudor castle!
• Every Wednesday throughout the summer holidays join us for WILDLIFE WEDNESDAYS 11am-4pm and learn about the wildlife that calls Hurst spit its home! With experts joining us weekly from either Bird Aware Solent, Freshwater Habitats Trust, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Trust, New Forest National Park Authority and Wings Wildlife Heritage – there'll be lots to do!
• Every Friday throughout the summer holidays for FUN FRIDAYS 11am-4pm. Families can have some fun with our outdoor toys, activities, dressing up and our resident face painter can add some sparkle with free face painting.
ALSO:
Our HENRY VIII will be visiting the castle and causing much merriment on the following Tuesdays 23rd July, 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th August – be sure to greet him with respect or who knows what he'll do!
AND:
LIGHTHOUSE TOURS of the Grey Lighthouse, located inside the castle, will be available from our volunteer group on Mondays throughout the summer - weather and volunteer numbers permitting. Call in advance to confirm tours taking place.
All our summer activities are included in your castle admission. Hurst Castle is open 7 days a week from 10am-5.30pm.
Why not start your family adventure and take a leisurely ferry to the castle? Ferries depart daily from Keyhaven at 10am and then approximately every 20-30 minutes.
