See Father Christmas in his festive carriage at the Watercress Line and enjoy some traditional festive fun with vintage fairground rides, a delightful miniature railway and a Christmas market!
5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th-24th December 2020. The festive carriages will be open from 9.30am until 3.30pm each day.
What's on:
- Meet Father Christmas in his festive carriage, and receive a gift for each child
- Enjoy unlimited rides on our miniature railway
- Meet Father Christmas' farmyard friends from Mucky Bucket Farm
- Unlimited rides on our vintage fairground
- Shop for some lovely gifts or delicious treats at our Christmas Market
- The T-Junction will be open for refreshments
- Adults are treated to one hot drink included in their ticket price (tea, coffee or hot chocolate)
All rides and activities are included in your ticket price, your Santa visit is booked as a time slot but you have access to Ropley station for as long as you like between 9:30am-15:30pm. We recommend a visit of around 2 hours to enjoy the attractions on offer and meet Father Christmas.
Please note this event does not include travel on the line, the event is exclusively being held at Ropley station.

Tickets:
- Entry is by ticket only. Steam Illuminations tickets and discount vouchers are NOT VALID for this event.
- Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Please note gifts are only given to children, when booking you will be asked for the ages of the child(ren) so that we can give the correct age appropriate gift.
- There will be wheelchair provision at this event. Please call reservations on 01962 733810 to book.
- If you are bringing an adult with additional needs who would like a gift from Santa, please choose an appropriate age ticket for a suitable gift
- Regrettably dogs are not allowed at this event, unless they are assistance dogs.
- As per government guidelines for England, we will not accept bookings for groups of more than six people, including under 1s.
Anyone arriving on the day with symptoms of Covid-19 will be refused entry and not be eligible for a refund. Anyone developing symptoms prior to the event and notifying the railway will receive a full refund.
Parking information and before you arrive: Car parking is FREE in the top car park on Bighton Hill, Ropley, SO24 9SQ
Covid-19 Precautions:
- Please obey one-way systems around the railway
- Please maintain social distancing with people who are not in your group
- Please wear a face covering when you are in any indoor area of the railway, including in the grotto
- The Watercress Line may ask you to have your temperature checked when visiting the railway - if you have a temperature then you will not be allowed into the event
