About
The Autumn Steam Gala event is a chance to enjoy unlimited rides behind a range of visiting locomotives as well as our home-fleet locomotives, running on an enhanced timetable.
Explore all of our heritage stations along the 10-mile line, get up close to some of our locomotives, experience Brake Van rides, find out more about our restoration projects and enjoy talks and various exhibits.

• No. 34072 '257 Squadron', courtesy of Southern Locomotive Limited. Unrebuilt Bulleid Battle of Britain Class 4-6-2.
• No. 4144 Class 41xx GWR 2-6-2T, courtesy of our friends at Didcot Railway Centre.
• GWR 66xx Class 0-6-2 no. 6695, courtesy of the 6695 loco group and the Swindon & Cricklade Railway. Home-fleet locomotives:
• 41312 LMS Ivatt – spent much of its working career on Southern region lines. • 506 (30506) – LSWR Urie S15 Class – designed for the London & South Western Railway purely as a Fast Freight engine, working the heavy night express goods trains.

• Brake Van rides available with the Goods Train – operators discretion & guidelines apply (pre-book not available yet)

• Society stands and displays at Ropley station
• View our Goods Shed exhibition 'Delivering the Goods' at Medstead & Four Marks Station
• Enjoy local ales on sale at the Beer Junction at Ropley
• West Country Buffet at Alresford station, T-Junction at Ropley & the Kiosk at Alton will be open for you to enjoy a selection of hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks
• Visit our gift shops at Alresford & Ropley stations for great gifts or a memento of your day
