In February this year the Queen became the first British Monarch to reign for 70 years – a historic milestone that is to be celebrated across the country with a four-day Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend between Thursday 2 June and Sunday 5 June 2022.
In what promises to be an unforgettable weekend of celebrations, the fun-filled four days will be packed with parties, festivals, pageantries and commemorations across the UK and Hampshire will be in full swing taking part in the festivities.

The Big Platinum Festival
Sunday 5 June, Mayflower Park, Southampton
Mayflower Park in Southampton will be hosting a full day of family-friendly festivities in tribute to the Queen’s Jubilee with the Big Platinum Festival taking place on Sunday 5 June.
Highlights at this ticketed event will include local artists ranging from music and DJs to buskers, dancers and poets, food stalls and cooking demonstrations, funfair rides and family activities.
Pack a picnic and join the Big Lunch Jubilee celebrations at Hampshire’s country parks
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June – Staunton Country Park, Royal Victoria Country Park, and Queen Elizabeth Country Park.
Hampshire County Council’s country parks are inviting everyone to come along and celebrate being part of a ‘Big Picnic in the Park’ over the Jubilee bank holiday weekend.
Events are taking place across Hampshire as part of The Big Lunch Jubilee celebrations. There will be music, entertainment, fun activities for children, and on Saturday 4 June Staunton Country Park will also be live-screening the national event – the Platinum Party at the Palace.
Right Royal May Half Term at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard
With a jam-packed schedule of activities, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is the place to be over the Jubilee weekend. Meet Henry VIII at The Mary Rose, visit the National Museum of the Royal Navy for themed activities and explore historical ships and collections. They also have a brand-new exhibition on show that celebrates The Queen's loyal service to the Royal Navy.
Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at Winchester Cathedral

Celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen through a number of services and events at Winchester Cathedral including a Platinum Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving & Celebration, a Royal Jubilee Tour and a lecture 'The Crown and the Spiritual Symbolism of Duty' by Alastair Bruce.

Portsmouth Cathedral invites the whole community to grab a chair and join the party that everyone is invited to!
Taking place on the Cathedral's green, The Big Jubilee Lunch is one of many such events taking place nationally across the UK.
People are invited to bring their own food, and alongside 'The Hunt for the Lost Slipper' treasure hunt, there will also be a number of traditional games, refreshments, music, and entertainment.
Portsmouth Cathedral will be concluding their celebrations with a special Jubilee Evensong with music of a royal flavour.

Platinum Jubilee Cycle Trail
Cycle Whitchurch has announced a new Platinum Jubilee Cycle Trail – an easy 25-mile route passing Jubilee memorials and following a Jubilee treasure trail.
The countryside route – which can be started in Whitchurch, Longparish, Chilbolton, The Clatfords or Bourne Valley – will be suitable for families, groups, and individuals to complete as part of the National Cycle Network.
