Located a short wander into the village of Downton just north of the New Forest National Park is this timeless, pet-friendly escape where peace and nature for up to four guests is high on the agenda. This little home’s simple interior is where comfort reigns. The generously proportioned rooms include a kitchen, lounge and separate dining room that is home to a further sofa and a TV loaded with Amazon Prime and Netflix - providing a super handy second sitting room. The bedrooms are twin beds and a double with a family bathroom featuring both a bath and a separate shower. 

Outside, the garden is bordered by a cute picket fence keeping your dog and little ones from charging off for an adventure without you. A garden bench crowns the lawn providing a spot to take in views of the village and surrounding countryside, and there’s a gate at the bottom of the grassy bank to a woodland garden that begs to be explored. 

For a lazy lunch or easy supper, head to the great gastro pub in the village. There are plenty more good eating spots in the surrounding area, plus superb restaurants and fine dining options in the historic cathedral city of Salisbury - 8 miles north.
