About
This is designed to help writers take the next step with their writing into publication. This event is the only one of it's kind in the south and therefore Portsmouth is lucky to have it happening on it's doorstep. There is a exciting programme over the two days covering all aspects of the publishing process from editing and submission, to pitching to an agent or going down the self-publishing route.
Want to Get Published? The Portsmouth Bookfest Writing & Publishing Weekend on 2-3 March at University of Portsmouth is designed for writers looking to take the next step by arming them with the options so that they make informed decisions about the route to publication.
Writing can be a lonely business and publishing a scary one. The days of easily picking up an agent and then a publisher have sadly gone. The number of publishers has dwindled, so making sure that your approach is professional and appropriate are key. On the other hand self-publishing is easier than ever but how do you go about it? These are some of the topics covered in the Portsmouth Bookfest Writing & Publishing Weekend.
