About
The University of Portsmouth is proud to offer outstanding 3 star accommodation on Southsea seafront for individual bed and breakfast bookings in Rees Hall.
Rees Hall is a period style building that stands just 250 metres from the seafront. Constructed new in 1996 it retains many of the original features of a Victorian hotel that previously stood on the site. For those history buffs, there is blue plaque on the building commemorating the site where Charles dickens stayed when he last stayed in Portsmouth.
The dedicated team at Rees Hall pride themselves on high levels of service and customer care which is shown by our accreditations of Hospitality Assured and Welcome to Excellence. Over the last few years the team has won awards for the quality of its catering and we have been previously voted by readers of the Group Travel Organiser magazine as the Best UK University Accommodation.
The building is a short walk to the beach, D-Day Museum and the Blue Reef Aquarium. Within a fifteen minute walk is Old Portsmouth, Gunwharf Quays, Spinnaker Tower and The Historic Dockyard.
The building has 200 single and 25 double rooms with en-suite, many of which have sea views. Additional features include two guest lounges, bar, courtyard garden, restaurant and lifts to every floor.
The rooms are provided with fresh towels and complimentary soap and shower gel, as well as a tea and coffee making facilities.
The rooms don’t provide televisions but they do give you high speed wifi throughout the building at no extra cost.
There is a simple pricing structure which includes breakfast.
