About
Whitchurch Children’s Festival is a small, safe and friendly festival in Whitchurch designed especially for families with pre-school and primary-school age children.
Located in a wildflower watermeadow part of the historic Fulling Mill which sits alongside the chalk stream waters of the River Test.
There's a packed programme across the weekend full of drop-in sessions. Some of the workshops include:
- Chalk Stream Learning
- Weaving with Whitchurch Silk Mill
- Taiko Drumming
- Origami
- Henna Natural Art
- Street Dance
- Jewellery Making and a whole lot more.
There will be great food and music on site all from Hampshire and the local area.
The festival has gained Arts Council England ‘Artsmark’ status and has a commitment to working with high-quality arts providers. Children are encouraged to achieve an Arts Council ‘Discover in a Day’ certificate while they are at the festival.
Please be aware, If traveling car, there is limited parking available.
The festival have prepaid tickets for car parking in the Cricket Club field close to the watermeadow. This is available to buy as an additional extra when you book your festival ticket. Parking must be bought prior to the event. There are also a limited number of Blue Badge disabled spaces at the Cricket Club car park. Otherwise; there is limited car parking available at the public car parks in Church St, Bell St and the Gill Nethercott Centre.
The event will follow the latest Government COVID guidelines.
