About
Walking Watercolours - workshop retreat day in the New Forest. Do you need a special mothers day or birthday present for someone, or perhaps you need a peaceful day away from it all yourself?
Treat yourself or a loved one to this 'Walking Watercolours' workshop/retreat day in the beautiful New Forest, walking slowly, sketching and adding watercolours as you take time out from your busy life to really relax into the beautiful forest surroundings.
Observe and learn about the flora and fauna of the forest and get watercolour tips from our workshop leaders, Rebecca Twigg (plants and well-being), Jane Coombes (folk tales and tradition) and Charlotte Moreton (art) as we guide this slow paced day among the woods and heath.
Back to the beautiful old Royal Oak pub for a pit stop at lunch time.
Suitable for absolute beginners! Some gentle walking involved, over the day.
A walking workshop by Kingdom Of Sticks and the new 'Wanderers in the New Forest' project.
Please see the website for a variety of other walking workshops, from wild plant focussed ones to tree lore, also bookable for groups.
All our workshops are designed as outdoor day workshop retreats, helping you re-set and revive, with some fascinating insights to the magnificence and calming power of nature, perfect for a day away from the hustle and bustle and into natures restful pace.
£90 for the day. Includes paper and some basic materials, but please bring any watercolour boxes or favourite brushes you already happen to have.
Please email to get further info and to book your place. (Very limited places available, to keep the workshop small and personal).
