About
Join us for a memorable museum experience, which goes beyond the average visit, taking guests on a journey through many wonderful and fearsome guns found aboard the Mary Rose, Tudor weaponry, and our one-of-a-kind collection of Tudor artefacts.
This experience combines a behind the scenes tour, led by our expert guides, throughout the museum galleries; allowing guests to delve deeper into our extraordinary collection; a live and interactive gun drill using a full-scale replica Tudor gun; followed by a private talk, exclusive to guests as part of this experience, which will uncover the many fascinating facts about the guns found aboard the ship.
Learn about the crewmen who operated the many guns aboard, the officers in charge, the guns themselves, their use and design. From handheld muskets, gun shields and hail shot to huge bronze and iron guns; explore the range and shear force of the guns onboard, where they were positioned, where we found them and more.
