Roku Gin & Haku Vodka Masterclass at Waitrose Basingstoke

Premium Japanese spirits brand House of Suntory is hosting an in-store tasting at Waitrose in Basingstoke on 25th July.

House of Suntory Brand Ambassador, James Bowker, will be guiding guests through the masterclass, offering insight into the stories behind the creation of Haku vodka and Roku gin. Both spirits carefully created from Japanese ingredients by master artisans, embodying the true nature and spirit of Japan.

Taking inspiration from the Japanese tradition of 'Omotenashi' - a philosophy which emphasises hospitality – guests will be able to sample the signature Roku Gin & Tonic and Haku highball on arrival.

Roku is first gin from the legendary Japanese distiller. Master Distiller Kazuyuki Torii has been perfecting the spirit for around 30 years, and Roku uses six botanicals that can only be found in Japan: sakura flower, sakura leaf, yuzu peel, sencha tea, gyokuro tea and sansho pepper.

Haku is the latest offering from the House of Suntory. Made from 100% Japanese white rice and filtered through bamboo charcoal, Haku is the embodiment of Suntory's commitment to quality and pursuit of perfection, with a subtly sweet flavour.
