Choose from 80 expert-led walks through beautiful autumn landscapes at the New Forest Walking Festival. The experts will help you discover more about the history, heritage and wildlife of the Forest.

The walking festival  includes dozens of behind the scenes family strolls, history hikes, wildlife walks and more. All walks are expert-led by the New Forest National Park Authority and partner organisations.

The festival has run annually since 2013 and each year boasts dozens of guided walks led by knowledgeable local experts to help you discover more about the history, heritage and wildlife of the Forest.

Led by the New Forest National Park Authority and partner organisations, the Walking Festival is the perfect opportunity to discover more about the National Park, with guidance from friendly and knowledgeable walk leaders to help walkers of all ages unlock the secrets of the Forest.

Many walks are free or discounted if you travel without a car and show your bus or train ticket, or you can show you arrived by cycling or walking.
