Visitors to Garsons this August will have a chance to make friends with a menagerie of cuddly creatures as Mill Cottage Farm Experience brings animal magic to the family-run garden centre at Titchfield, near Fareham.

The free event returns to Garsons during the summer holidays and children will be able to hold and pet the animals with help from the Mill Cottage Farm Experience team. Organisers Tom and Sarah Main share a passion for teaching children about animals, and believe that hands-on experience is one of the best ways to learn.

Furry and feathered guests are set to include Casper and Champers the alpacas along with sheep, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, guinea pigs, rabbits and dogs. Lucky visitors may ducklings, chicks and piglets. There may even be a chance to meet newborn donkey foals if Mill Cottage Farm's expectant donkeys give birth earlier than expected.
