Gunwharf Quays will be host to a whole range of exciting activities this February Half Term. From fun fair rides and free activity trails, to indoor bowling and Hollywood's latest blockbusters, as well as family dining deals across a choice of 30 restaurants, the UK's only waterfront outlet is the ideal place for families to spend some quality time together over the holidays. Travel back in time with Gunwharf Quays History Trail:
Pick up a free trail map from the Guest Relations Suite in Central Square and travel back in time to learn more about the history of the Gunwharf Quays site– including the Whale Tail sculpture by Richard Farrington and the historic cannons in and around Gunwharf Quays. The site has a fascinating heritage and played a very important part in Britain's maritime history.
Enjoy a carousel ride:
This half term, the much-loved carousel ride is returning to Gunwharf Quays. The carousel will be located in the Plaza, where visitors will also find classic fairground nibbles and sweet treats. The carousel will be running from 14th-23rd February.
Escape through story time:
Cath Kidston will be running children's story time sessions between 10am-12pm on Tuesday and Wednesday during February half term. If the little ones need a break from the excitement of the centre, bring them along to escape with a choice of one of three books. They'll even be given free colouring and stickers to take away.
Head to the children's playground:
Located near Vernon Gate, Gunwharf Quays' very own play area will be open throughout half term and offers a perfect way to keep the children entertained! Including everything needed for some outdoor fun from a play tower, seesaw, and slide as well as interactive activities such as musical play pipes and a beehive finger maze, it's sure to offer endless fun.
Take to the water:
Head down to Gunwharf Quays Marina where you can enjoy a 20-minute rib ride around the Solent. Or for smaller guests, Miniport Portsmouth offers the chance for little ones to captain and drive their own small vessel. No helm experience is required as all the electric ships are fun and easy to drive, providing hours of fun for all the family.
Hit the shops:
