Eastleigh town centre is preparing to celebrate all that is olde England with a free family fun-day on Saturday 20th May 11am-4pm. The event is being held in Eastleigh Town Centre, with the main area on Leigh Road Recreational Ground and other activities in Wells Place and The Swan Centre.
The day will include live medieval re-enactments, courtesy of Historical Promotions and falconry displays by South Wilts at Leigh Road Recreational Ground. Enjoy free entertainment from the Wessex Ferret Club, have-a-go Archery, medieval cooking demonstrations, a Mounted Knight, combat displays, dancing displays, circus workshops from Juggling Jake, plus lots more!
Take part in the Best Dressed Knight & Princess competition and you could be in with a chance of winning a Kindle Fire! Registration for the fancy dress competition starts from 2pm in the Swan Centre with the Deputy Mayor judging at 3pm, there is no charge for entry! Also inside the Swan Centre there will be a free arts and crafts table for all to enjoy.
There will also be a walkabout Jester, an exciting bouncy castle, Hog Roast, Puppet shows from Hand & Mouth Theatre Company and at Wells Place there will be Millers Ark Mobile Farm. Lots of local businesses will also be taking part, from The Candy Room selling sweets, to Partyman World's mascot coming out to play, right through to Tesco handing out free fruit for all the children and lots more.
