About
All dogs benefit from a regular massage regime. During this two-hour demonstration - outside at the beautiful tree-covered Sam's Camp - learn how to massage and stretch your dog effectively, helping to loosen tight muscles and improve your dog's mobility, function and well being.
Massage can help in maintaining an animal's level of health and fitness by decreasing muscular tension, assist in rehabilitation from an injury or illness, improve proprioception for those with neurological deficits, and contribute to reducing mental anxiety.
Ideal for puppies through to seniors.
Nicola Way has been massaging dogs and cats for more than 17 years providing therapeutic massage and rehabilitation for animals experiencing muscular degeneration and neurological deficiencies. She is a Small Animal Massage Specialist who has given workshops with Professor Noel Fitzpatrick and others. She is trained primarily in deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and manual ligament therapy but also utilises cranio-sacral and osteopathic techniques. Nicola combines a wealth of experience in contributing to the recovery process of dogs in need of rehabilitation as well as those with specific pre - and post-surgical conditions, optimising sporting dogs' physical performances, and enhancing the general well-being of all small animals through influencing positive changes.
PLEASE NOTE: You are welcome to bring your dog (one per family/adult), but they must be non-reactive with other dogs (and humans) and be under control at all times.
Heckfield Place will welcome guests outside the Sitting Room and bring them on a short walk to Sam's Camp. Please ensure you pick up after your pet.
There will be a break half way through the class. Guests will need to bring a flat dog bed/mat and some treats.
Visit Heckfield Place's hotel to book.
