Portsmouth Guildhall is Hampshire’s primary Events and Conference Centre.
A packed entertainment programme of live music, comedy, classical, dance, events and family shows offers something for everyone within this historic and iconic venue in the heart of Portsmouth, just a 2 minute walk from Portsmouth & Southsea train station.
The Guildhall has seen some of the world’s finest music acts perform including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Status Quo and Elton John and more recently, Take That, Mumford & Sons, Chase & Status, Gorillaz, Rick Astley, Zara Larsson and Busted. Many of the icons of comedy have also performed at the Guildhall including Sarah Millican, Greg Davies, Jack Whitehall, Catherine Tate, Jimmy Carr, Micky Flanagan and Lee Mack to name just a few. By day, the Guildhall offers a range of activities and workshops and is open for visitors to its bustling café and exhibitions which currently include The Portsmouth Music Experience, a free exhibition detailing the history of the Guildhall and the wider music scene in Portsmouth and temporary exhibitions including ‘The Isle of Wight Festival Exhibition 1968, 69 & 70’ and Aspex Gallery’s ‘Cut Loose’, a large scale wall art by visual artist Isle Black.
With its range of exquisite rooms and large auditorium the Guildhall is also the perfect venue for all types of business events, private celebrations and Weddings from 8-2000 people. With 125 years experience of hosting world-class events, your event is safe in their hands!
