‘John Pinkerton’ boat trips run public cruises on the beautiful Basingstoke Canal from Odiham wharf from April to October including special themed trips. At less than 3 mph, there is plenty of time to admire the passing countryside, spot the deer in the fields, and count the young ducklings and goslings. You may even see the bright flash of a kingfisher darting ahead of the boat, or the majestic flight of a heron circling round to return to its favourite bank to continue fishing.

The fully licensed bar is open on all cruises, and you can purchase real ale, spirits, wine, coffee, tea, drinks, and light refreshments. Souvenirs are available to help you remember the occasion.

Their themed trips feature live music, jazz, cream teas etc. The boat is also available for private charter so if you are looking for a different venue for a special birthday, anniversary, business conference or any other occasion please contact us. Seating is flexible to cater for smaller parties and the boat is covered for cruising in all weathers. A licensed bar is available and there is a toilet on board.
