Wizard of Oz Drone Light Show: Southampton at Utilita Bowl Stadium

An incredible new drone light show will light up the sky at Utilita Bowl Southampton for some out-of-this-world storytelling on 8 March.
The drone light show adaptation of the classic novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, will follow Dorothy and her faithful dog, Toto, on a whirlwind adventure from Kansas to the Land of Oz.
The Storytellers at Winchester Cathedral - Visit Hampshire

This March, Winchester Cathedral will host the world premiere of "The Storytellers," a new light and sound show by Luxmuralis. This enchanting immersive son et lumière event inside the cathedral will honour literary giants like Shakespeare and showcase literature like never before with illuminated artworks transporting visitors into realms of fantasy, romance, science fiction, and adventure, all set to a newly composed series of sound artworks.
Riches to Ribbons Exhibition at Whitchurch Silk Mill

In celebration of the 250th Anniversary of Jane Austen in 2025, a new exhibition starts in March at Whitchurch Silk Mill exploring the history of silk ribbon weaving. The Riches to Ribbons exhibition will showcase the Mill’s stunning collection of silk ribbons woven in a creative collaboration with Jane Austen's House, and demonstrate how they have been created from the initial inspiration to the production methods used at the Mill.
Southampton Foodie Fortnight - Visit Hampshire

Hamilton at Mayflower Theatre - Visit Hampshire

Lin-Manuel Miranda's multi award-winning cultural phenomenon Hamilton is touring the UK for the very first time and is coming to Mayflower Theatre in Southampton for a six-week season from 18 March 2025.

Canadian Pacific Launch at The Watercress Line

Aligning with the 200th anniversary of the modern railway, Hampshire’s Watercress Line will host Canadian Pacific’s launch week in March, the culmination of a 13-year restoration project bringing one of Britain’s most iconic steam-era locomotives back to life.
Visitor experiences will include exclusive dining, themed journeys, and heritage rides inspired by the golden age of steam travel.
The Slime Show at Winchester Science Centre & Planetarium

Slimy science fun continues at Winchester Science Centre in March with the live science show, The Slime Show bringing slime to the stage with gloopy and glorious slime-fuelled experiments.
Also in March, the After Dark events bring evening entertainment with The Planetarium Live on 21 March, a stargazing astro adventure with Night Sky Live on 27 March, and the Planetarium visualisation of iconic album by Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon on 29 March.
Joel Dommett: Happy Idiot at New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth

Host of the Saturday night smash-hit The Masked Singer, television presenter Joel Dommett returns to his stand-up roots with a brand-new show coming to the stage at New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth on 27 March.
Also taking to the stage at New Theatre Royal this month are Two Colours Ukrainian Choir on 6 March, and Kate Mosse, Labyrinth Live: Unlocking the Secrets of the Labyrinth on 23 March.
Winchester Comedy Festival: Spring Gala 2025 at Theatre Royal Winchester

Have a laugh this March with the Winchester Comedy Festival’s Spring Gala at Theatre Royal Winchester. Featuring an outstanding line-up of stand-up comedians, this promises to be a full belly-laughing evening.
Also at Theatre Royal Winchester this month, little ones will love the stage adaptations of Tom Fletcher’s There's A Monster In Your Show from 6 to 7 March, and Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s The Baddies from 21 to 23 March.

Three Victorian Travellers exhibition at Mottisfont

Step into a nineteenth-century world of art and adventure in a new captivating exhibition at The National Trust’s Mottisfont near Romsey, featuring over 80 original artworks by three extraordinary Victorian watercolourists.
Albert Goodwin, Hercules Brabazon Brabazon and Walter Tyndale were also passionate explorers and through their framed paintings and precious personal items including Walter Tyndale’s diary and scrapbook, you can journey with these artists as they captured exotic scenes and landscapes, from Morocco and Cairo to Venice and Verona.
