Dogstival 2024
Saturday 1 June and Sunday 2 June 2024
Britain’s best-loved event for dogs and their owners returns to Hampshire the first weekend in June, this time at the new venue of Burley Park in the New Forest with canine fun throughout the weekend.
Expect boundless shows and activities, a K9 splash pool for the pups to stay cool, tasty eats for dogs and owners alike, music on the hound dog stage, and even a doggy disco – paws-itively awesome!
Take That - This Life On Tour at St Mary's Stadium, Southampton

Take That – This Life On Tour – is a huge tour around the UK to celebrate the release of the band’s ninth studio album, This Life.
As part of the tour, the Take That trio – Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald – will be performing at St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June. They’ll also be supported by Olly Murs.
Rose Season at Mottisfont

This year, the National Trust is celebrating 50 years of its Plant Heritage National Plant Collection Rosa (pre-1900 shrub roses), which creates a spectacle in June.
Mottisfont is offering extended opening hours on some evenings during rose season, giving you more opportunities to enjoy these spectacular flowers. The gardens will stay open until 8pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 30 May to 29 June. On Fridays 7, 14 and 21 June you can enjoy live jazz from the FB Pocket Orchestra, plus wine tastings and wine for sale from award-winning Hampshire vineyard Black Chalk.
BBC Radio 2 D-Day Concert at Portsmouth Guildhall

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, Radio 2 is marking the occasion with this special concert being held at Portsmouth Guildhall on Monday 3 June.
Presented by Vernon Kay, the concert features the combined musical forces of the BBC Concert Orchestra and the BBC Big Band as they perform some of the best loved and most enduring music of that era.
D-Day 80 Commemoration in Portsmouth

Continuing the D-Day 80 events, Portsmouth will be at the centre of the UK’s national commemorations on Wednesday 5 June.
Portsmouth will host a major national commemorative event to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Thousands of members of the public will be invited to join D-Day veterans, Armed Forces personnel and VIP guests at a ticketed event on Southsea Common. D-Day veterans will be at the heart of the event, which will also feature military musicians, a Royal Air Force flypast and moving tributes from special guests. The event will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK.
T20 Double Header: Southern Vipers v Northern Diamonds & Hampshire Hawks v Kent Spitfires at Utilita Bowl

Have a family day out on Sunday 16 June at Good Festival at Dummer Down Farm near Basingstoke. Hosted by the Hampshire Medical Fund, the festival raises vital money for the NHS hospitals of Basingstoke, Winchester, and Andover.
There will be plenty of outdoor fun including live music, wonderful food, local stallholders, alpaca walking, bubble football, Sharky & George fun, a slip 'n slide, bushcraft, archery, an Under 5s area, family yoga, basket weaving and circus skills.
