Steam Town Brew Co in Eastleigh is a craft brewery serving around 10 of our own made, often railway themed beers (cask and keg) at any time, along with other drinks in our front of house bar and restaurant. They have a 1000l brewery onsite at the rear of the business, on view from the taproom. The dirty burgers and fries food is served all day, every day and tables indoors can be booked, including the special railway seat ‘booths’.
Steam Town Brew Co hold regular music and other events - normally held in the brewery or in the function room, ‘Up the Junction’ can serve up to 70 people (buffet) or 32 seated.
Steam Town Brew Co opened the brewery, taproom and restaurant in 2017 in a run down Victorian building, originally built as a pub at the turn of the century, in the young railway town. Eastleigh grew at pace back then to accommodate and service it’s rail and other workers, built around the rail junction area. Specifically, this was due to the carriage and wagon works of the London and South Western Railway (LSWR) being relocated to the area, mostly from Vauxhall in London. This industrial heritage of the area is reflected and celebrated in the decor at Steam Town, check out the repurposed and upcycled fittings and furniture, the majority of which are from the railway works and associated businesses.
Steam Town Brew Co feature a regular programme of weekly music, quiz and other monthly beer events. Check out their website and fb events page for the up to date programme, including the Beer Knights evening of tutored beer tastings, meal and brewery tour, a perfect gift or just a enjoyable learning experience craft and beer lovers. The function room is for hire for business and social events, available with various buffet / hot / cold drink options and full tech / media support.
The craft brewery a 10 min stroll from Eastleigh Train station, feature in CAMRA's Good Beer guide and regularly host visitors from further afield. Their beers have won various awards and feature at the Great British Beer Festival and other local and regional beer and food events. Steam Town Brew Co production is mostly available through their own bar (including small pack to take away) but they also supply local free of tie, pubs, bars and restaurants within an approx 10 mile radius. they are members of Hampshire Fare and SiBA, the Society of Independent Brewers.
