Eight guests and two dogs are warmly welcomed to this stunning thatched cottage in the New Forest National Park. It is a gem!
Melding the 15th-century thatched part of the cottage with a snazzy new extension, guests can revel in luxurious surroundings aimed at comfort and style, with quirky focal points to bring a smile. The huge kitchen and dining room also features a comfy seating area in addition to a separate lounge where velvet sofas and wing chairs sit under a heavy beamed ceiling facing the cottages’ historic inglenook fireplace.
The large, private garden, bordered by towering trees, hedges and blooms, is a place to soak up the sun, play games and relax with a glass of fizz. A cleverly designed terrace inspired by texture and shape is home to a handsome brick-built BBQ and a fire pit for late nights under the stars.
The vibe in this part of the forest is for relaxation, family adventures and a slice of life in the slow lane. Prepare yourself to be greeted by the National Park’s free-roaming ponies and donkeys alongside cows, deer, and plenty of woodland wildlife outside the window.
