About
Join inspiring calligraphy teacher Laura Edralin for a creative and mindful afternoon workshop focusing on brush pen calligraphy, exploring spring-themes and floral details.
Inspired by Jane Austen's own perfect penmanship, and by the beautiful surroundings of her Chawton home, step away from the busyness of everyday life and immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquility of the spring countryside.
Passionate about helping people calm their minds and find their creative flow, Laura will introduce you to a beautiful brush script, ideal for beginners and calligraphy enthusiasts alike.
The workshop will begin with a gentle walk in Jane Austen's garden, led by Laura, drawing attention to the plants and flowers emerging from the winter ground and celebrating the arrival of spring. Back in the cosy Learning Centre, refuel with tea and cake before incorporating botanical and floral imagery into a calm and mindful calligraphy session – developed especially to support mental wellbeing and leave you with the skills to take home and continue your practice.
You'll finish the session with a hand-calligraphed bookmark – worthy of any Austen novel!
