WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT
No prizes for guessing that STAND UP IN THE BASEMENT is a stand up comedy night and guess what? It's on a Tuesday night! Meaning you get to see top TV comics making you chuckle in the same room, and for a fraction of the normal price! As well as familiar faces from TV, we feature some of the best circuit comics, plus new raw talent and occasionally a few big names who wanna come and try out some new material. It's tailor-made for people who love live comedy! You'll get to see a diverse range of comic talent in an intimate space.
THIS MONTH'S LINE-UP
TOM DEACON
Tom Deacon burst onto the stand up comedy scene after winning Chortle's Student Comedian Award. His solid stage presence and slick timing led to him support Doc Brown and Katherine Ryan on tour.
With several critically-acclaimed, sold-out, solo shows, Tom has appeared at the world's biggest festivals, including Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds, V Fest, Latitude, the Edinburgh Festival, the New Zealand Comedy Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
An accomplished radio presenter with his own radio shows on BBC Radio 1 and Capital FM, Tom's TV appearances include appeared The Rob Brydon Show (BBC Two), Dave's One Night Stand (Dave) and Edinburgh and Beyond (Comedy Central).

COLIN OWENS [COMPERE]
Our compere and your host for Stand in The Basement, Colin Owens, is an award-winning stand-up comedian, who has worked with Jimmy Carr, the teams behind The Inbetweeners and Mighty Boosh. Described as 'laconic and charming', Colin talks about his failings, inadequacies, mistakes and general stupidity, all tinged with an air of paranoia and insecurity, but delivered with supreme confidence and sexual edginess!
