This September 3rd 2022 sees the long awaited return of the Sherfield Village Fete and Dog Show. The Sherfield Village Green will once again play host to a spectacular event that will no doubt draw the hoards of crowds again.
On offer will be an array of attractions in keeping with our 2022 theme: The Great British Fete.
The Main Arena will feature First Class falconry displays, Old Basing Marching Corps of Drums, Petite School of Dancing demonstration, children's races, Basing Clog Morris dancing, and the annual tug of war 'Tussle of the Taverns'.
There's also lots of fabulous stalls both commercial and local, a classic car display, the ever competitive dog show, Juggling Jakes Circus Skills, traditional fete games such as welly wanging and crockery smashing, Hollycross Farm petting animals, giant inflatables and bungees for the children.
Lots of food and drink is on offer with a beer tent, cider stall, wood fired pizzas, bbq, hog roast, toasties, vegetarian fare, afternoon teas and ice creams we also have live music on the green and Equinox jazz in the Village Hall garden. This year they are also proud to be joining up with the annual Sherfield and District Show which will take place in the Village Hall with it's many categories of entries showcasing flowers, fruit, vegetables, handicrafts, cookery, art and photography.
The fete helps raise funds for the Sherfield Village Hall and Church but also one local charity and this year, that charity is the Basingstoke Food Bank.
Free entry, plenty of free car parking.
