Roll up! Roll up! Queen Elizabeth Country Park's fantastic new café and visitor centre is now OPEN after a £1.2 million refurbishment. On Saturday 19 October, join for a free day of family fun in the South Downs National Park.
Expect live music, local produce, kids' nature trails, face painting and birds of prey, PLUS meet Hampshire's finest purveyors of food and drink including ChalkStream Trout, Mozzo Coffee and Suthwyk Ale — all featured on the menu in the park's brand new Beechwood Kitchen. This modern, light-filled space is open for business on the day, serving good mood food and the best flat-whites this side of the South Downs. Think hearty breakfasts, vibrant salad bowls, deli sandwiches and home baked cakes.
Once you've fuelled-up, discover how regular trips to this special park will boost you and your family's wellbeing, body and soul. Queen Elizabeth Country Park have got the outdoors covered, from mountain biking to trail running, dog walking to Pilates. And don't miss Butser Hill's soaring views — deep into Sussex, down to the Solent and out to the Isle of Wight.
Elsewhere, there's the new 'Forts and Fleets' adventure play park where you can climb up ropes, scramble over bridges and build a den, not forgetting the dog activity course. For Under 8s, there is also an animal themed 'Tots Play Area', plus family BBQ areas and an outdoor pizza oven, available for groups and families to hire. The park really is a great place for family fun.
Last, but not least, the new visitor centre also has a large, light-filled space, available for birthday parties, classes, exhibitions, community groups and more. Just ask at reception or give the park a call to find out more.
