Following the resounding success of the May Walking Festival, Alton is delighted to announce the return of its much-loved Autumn Walking Festival, taking place from October 14th to 20th 2024. This year's festival promises to bring back some of the most popular walks from the May event, offering participants another chance to experience the breathtaking beauty of Alton and its surrounding countryside during the vibrant autumn season.

**The Historic Alton Trail**: Explore Alton's rich heritage as you walk through historic landmarks, including the picturesque Jane Austen sites and the town's charming market square.
**Literary Walk**: Delve into the world of Jane Austen on this walk from Alton to Chawton, home to the famed author, and enjoy the stunning autumnal scenery.
**Alton Lost Railways**: Explore the route of the Basingstoke and Alton Light Railway from Cliddesden to the section of Dismantled Railway at Swallick.
