Starting from Whitefield Moor car park, this walk passes along gravel tracks through a variety of habitats around Ober Water - including heathland with gorse and bog, grassland, natural and formerly enclosed woodland, and Ober Water stream itself.
Distance: 1 mile
This Forestry Commission trail is a waymarked walk. Just follow the yellow waymarker posts to enjoy an easy to follow route for all.
This trail is a mixture of moderately smooth gravelled surfaces and compacted grassy ground. During wet weather the path can flood and may be muddy in places.
Whitefield Moor longer loop: Starting from Whitefield Moor car park, this walk takes you further along the Ober Water than the yellow route, giving more time to soak up the beautiful scenery and atmosphere of this beautiful stream and its surroundings.
Distance: 2 miles.
