Explore Southampton city centre with two self-guided heritage walks with a treasure hunt theme. Discover Southampton's "hidden treasures" whilst having a fun day out with family & friends!
Southampton is one of Britain's famous maritime cities, a major departure point for ocean-going liners, as well as the many ferries which scurry to and from its port. But Southampton is more than that – it has an Old Town, with remnants of a castle to explore & the walls which surrounded it, a medieval merchant's house, a 12th century city gate, a jaw-dropping Civic Centre & a 15th century Tudor House. It is also renowned for its many parks which run right through the centre, leading to the new & hugely impressive SeaCity Museum.
Curious About Southampton visits not just the obvious places, but some unusual ones too. Suitable for all ages, the walks take 1-2 hours each. Each walk booklet contains two walks, a brief history of Southampton, a detailed map with the walking routes marked, & a series of directions & clues. We also provide ideas for things to see & do on the way, pictures to identify & interesting snippets about the people & events that have shaped Southampton.
Buy from our website in printed booklet format, or instant download (to print at home or use on your mobile device(s)), then explore in your own time. Use code Visit20 at checkout for 20% off any two or more purchases.
Other local walks include: Curious About Portsmouth & Curious About Winchester.
