Originally built in the late nineteenth century, Woods Cottage is what every country cottage should be. Nestling in 50 acres of private woods, on a peaceful tidal creek, in one of England's most beautiful natural harbours and with no immediate neighbours, Woods Cottage is perfect for a relaxing break at any time of year.

Recently the cottage was completely refurbished using the highest quality materials including fabrics from Colefax and Fowler and Jane Churchill, sofas from Laura Ashley, Italian Limestone flagstones (with under floor heating) and Brazilian green slate in the kitchen. The central ethos of the refurbishment was to retain the charm of the cottage's 136 year history, whilst creating a luxurious and extremely comfortable holiday environment with all modern conveniences.

The fully equipped kitchen has solid Iroko wood work services, slate walls, a wonderful relaxing area with large leather sofa and looks out directly onto the creek known locally as 'My Lord's Pond'. The large South and West facing windows catch the sun throughout the day and it is a wonderful room to sit in and observe the wildlife on the cottage lawns which range from Buzzards, Woodpeckers, Pheasants, Herons and Egrets to Rabbits and Squirrels.

A welcome pack will await your arrival including fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, chocolates, tea, coffee, sugar, eggs, bacon, sausages, cereal, milk, freshly baked bread & orange juice. We also don't expect you to bring those necessities like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls etc.. its all there for you to use.

The house provides all the modern conveniences that you would expect including a flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD player, CD Player/Radio, IPod Docking Sound System, Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, Microwave, Freezer, Hairdryer, Iron, a telephone and free wireless broadband. There is also a selection of CD's, DVD's, Games & books.
