This luxury holiday home for six guests can be found on the outskirts of the New Forest National Park in the village of Hythe on the shores of Southampton Water. The Nook is in a peaceful setting, backing onto a golf course and within easy reach of the pretty Georgian High Street that hosts a weekly market, and where you’ll find a good selection of lovely places to eat.
The Nook’s design-savvy owners have thoughtfully decorated and furnished the house to create a stylish yet homely feel that comforts and inspires in equal measure. The ground floor is a sociable open-plan living space with the addition of a separate lounge with a wood-burning stove to cosy up around on out-of-season breaks. When the weather’s warm, you should head outside and take advantage of the big garden, which is fully enclosed and bordered by ancient, lofty trees. Take a pew to sit and watch woodland wildlife, light the barbecue, and dine alfresco under the stars.
